Community Support

Peninsula Co-op is proud to support local community projects, organizations, and initiatives through our Community Support Program. We believe contributing to the communities in which we do business creates a positive, lasting impact. Although our pool of funds is limited, we strive to assist as many requests as possible.

You can request Community Support for:

 
  • an event, sponsorship or donation

    We accept requests supporting the following areas:

    • Greater Victoria
    • Mill Bay & Duncan
    • Comox
    • Campbell River


    Request applications must be received at least 8 weeks prior to the event date, in order for us to properly review.

    To prepare for our Member Relations Committee meetings, deadlines to apply for funding over $10,000 are as follows:

    May 1st, 2024
    June 2nd, 2024

  • to hold a car wash at our Keating Cross Road property

    Fundraising car washes are only held in the parking lot at our Keating Gas & Convenience centre location on Keating Cross Road.  We provide a water hook-up and space. Your group will be responsible for providing a hose, splitter, cleaning supplies, towels, promotional materials and “volunteer car washers”. These events are popular so please book a minimum of three weeks in advance by sending us the completed form.

  • to hold a bottle drive at our Keating Cross Road property

    Fundraising bottle drives are only held in the parking lot at our Keating Gas & Convenience centre location on Keating Cross Road. The organizing group is responsible for conducting and promoting the fundraiser as well as clean up following the event. Bottle drives are popular so please book a minimum of three weeks in advance by sending us the completed form.

  • to have our 20′ X 20′ marquee tent at your community event

    Peninsula Co-op has tents that we can provide to community groups and not-for-profit organizations for their events. Our tent measures 20’ x 20’ with open sides and must be set up and taken down by our contracted professional tent company. Special instructions must be met if cooking is to be done under the tent. The Co-op tent is popular, especially during the spring and summer seasons, so please book a minimum of eight weeks in advance by completing the form below.
