June 1 Brentwood Bay Festival: 8am – 3pm at HEL,HILEȻ / Pioneer Park. Join us for a fun filled day celebrating the community – with a parade, pancake breakfast, games, music, clowns and more!
June 8 Vic West Fest: 12pm – 6pm at Vic West Community Centre & Banfield Park, 521 Craigflower Road. Check out this great free event including live music, kids zone, beer gardens, food trucks and more.
June 16 Island Prostate Centre Father’s Day walk. We’ll be onsite at the VI Tech Park for this fundraiser walk/run in support for Island Prostate – pancake breakfast included!
June 20 Children’s Health Foundation – When Pigs Fly radiothon: 6am – 6pm, 1400 Dogwood Street, Campbell River. We are proud to sponsor this exciting fundraiser, in support of the Q̓ʷalayu House in Campbell River.
June 25 Victoria HarbourCats Special Olympics pre-game game! Join us at the Wilson’s Group Stadium for a great night of baseball – with a Special Olympics softball game happening before the HarbourCats take the field.
Donations at a Glance
Here are some quick facts for April and May 2024:
- April and May saw over $65,000 in Community Donations!
- 20% of funds went towards YOUTH programs.
- Sponsorship of Kaleidoscope Theatre brought 5 shows to over 900 viewers in May.
Peninsula Co-op Student Awards
Peninsula Co-op is proud to support the students in our community with post secondary scholarship opportunities.
For the last 30 years we have been supporting local students through our Student Awards Program. As our company has grown over the years, we have continuously added to our Program which this year alone will award 21 scholarships, combining for a total of $22,000.
The Peninsula Co-op Educational Scholarships provides opportunities to students pursuing post-secondary education off Vancouver Island. This was done to improve the quality of opportunities available to our members and their families. Two scholarships are awarded in the value of $1,500 and $1,000.
