Peninsula Co-op in your Community – Winter 2025

December 20th – March 30th: Sidney Museum’s 19th Annual Lego Exhibit and Family Day Event. Join in the fun over the February Family Day long weekend, and take part in a community build or watch a Lego Professional in action!
February 15th: West Shore Parks and Recreation Centre, free swim! 1:30pm-4:00pm families can enjoy a free fun swim, sponsored by Peninsula Co-op
February 22nd: Coldest Night of The Year fundraisers:
North Island: Supporting Comox Valley Transition Society.
Cowichan Valley: Supporting Canadian Mental Health Asst.
February 23rd – March 2nd: Wounded Warriors Run, from Port Hardy to Victoria. First responders will run 800km to raise funds for local trauma-exposed professionals and their families here on the island.
Donations at a glance:
– Over $60,000 in donations were allocated in November and December to 20 community groups.
– This year, $21,000 in post-secondary school scholarships were awarded throughout the Island.
– We matched $10,000 in donations for KidSport Victoria’s Give the Gift of Sport campaign.
The Spirit Gala presented by Peninsula Co-op, raised over $440,000 for the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation. The fundraiser kickstarted the Acute-Care campaign, and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
