Peninsula Co-op in your Community – September 2024

August 31 – September 2: The Annual Saanich Fair, all weekend at the Saanich Fairgrounds.
September 7: Black Creek Fall Fair, 10am – 4pm at the Black Creek Community Centre.
September 7: Pacific FC Marvel Night and Island Kids Cancer Awareness event. 7pm at Starlight Stadium in Langford.
September 21 – October 4: Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock!
October 13: Royal Victoria Marathon, downtown Victoria. Join the Peninsula Co-op volunteer crew at https://www.runvictoriamarathon.com/volunteer
Donations at a glance:
– Since April 2024, Peninsula Co-op has provided nearly $170,000 to various community organizations!
– 45% of funds went towards YOUTH programs.
– Sponsorship of Victoria Hospice Teeny Tiny Garden Tour saw 650 guests visiting gardens around town while raising $30,000 for Hospice.
Fuel Good Day
Visit any Peninsula Co-op fuel centre on September 17th and 5 cents from every litre pumped will be donated to Help Fill a Dream Foundation.
This organization is there for families on Vancouver Island whose lives have suddenly changed due to their child’s diagnosis with a medical condition or severe health challenge.
