Peninsula Co-op & Save-On Gas
The relationship between Peninsula Co-op and Save-On Gas began back in the mid-1980’s when the Co-op obtained the fuel supply contract for the newly founded and locally owned Save-On Gas chain. Over the years the relationship between the two companies grew stronger and when the owner of Save-On Gas decided to take a less active role in the company, Peninsula Co-op gradually began to assume ownership. By December 2001 Peninsula Co-op owned Save-On Gas, which included 6 locations in Greater Victoria. Two other locations in Greater Victoria, and a few up the island, are privately owned and use the Save-On Gas name because the Co-op supplies them with fuel.
Many of the Co-op owned Save-On Gas locations were showing signs of aging. Peninsula Co-op has, as of February 2007, rebranded and renovated the Royal Oak, Duncan, Pat Bay, Wilkinson, Sidney and Gorge Road sites. Most recently rebranded and upgraded to a Co-op site is the Deep Cove Save-On Gas.
Peninsula Co-op pays a patronage rebate on purchases made by our members at Co-op owned Save-On Gas locations.
